Wow, sounds like a good game at NJC. Did Fleming just outplay Pawnee, or was Pawnee off? Neither team was really on, neither hit 40.

    • PHS fan says:

Fleming controlled the tempo and neither team could really make anything. It was a good defensive battle but Fleming made more shots.

I didn’t get to see the game, but it must have been pretty physical on Flemings part. The Shoemaker kid only had 3 points, did he not play very aggressive or did the defense keep him from getting the ball? The other stat I noticed was that Fleming shot 19 freethrows compared to 4 for Pawnee, were most of these at the end of the game? Pawnee has to learn to play more physical and aggressive against teams like Fleming and Caliche and I think they will. Good luck the rest of the season.

    • PHS fan says:

Shoemaker had to sit with foul trouble for most of the game and when he did get it down low he was swarmed. Fleming just played great help side D and looked like a whole new team after that loss to Caliche last week. More focus and determination. They are tough to beat when they come out with that kind of intensity. It was also the best performance by Soroto that I have seen. They just have to keep that edge.
