BOYS BASKETBALL: New Rankings Released
Regular season play wrapped up on Saturday and the final week was not without its share of upsets. Six of the ten ranked teams in Class 2A suffered losses last week while second ranked teams in both 5A and 1A were also beaten. As a result, the polls in most cases have several changes.

Because of all the postponements from the previous week, teams were much busier over the past seven days than previously planned. BOYS BASKETBALL: New Rankings Released
From top to bottom in all classes, it was probably the most consistent week for our top ten polls. Compared to most weeks, there were fewer upsets of highly ranked teams so there are also fewer changes than normal, but here’s a look at our newest Colorado Preps boys’ basketball polls.

Another week of basketball is in the books so we can release a new set of rankings. Colorado Preps releases a new top ten for each classification every Monday. Here’s a look at today’s poll.
BOYS BASKETBALL: New Rankings Announced (Jan 2nd)
As we’ve done the past couple of years, Colorado Preps has waited until January to post their first basketball rankings of the season. So with the New Year comes the first edition of the boys’ basketball rankings. New rankings will be released each Monday through the rest of the season.

Six more days remain in the regular season so this is the final regular season poll from Colorado Preps. We’ll continue to rank teams throughout the post-season all the way to the state championship games in mid-March. The biggest movement this week came in 4A as the top three teams from last week were all beaten during the week. There was also plenty of shuffling in the middle spots in 3A, 2A and 1A.
BOYS BASKETBALL: Notes on Just Released Rankings (Feb. 7th)
Rankings for the largest three classes were somewhat easy to compile this week as virtually all the teams stayed put after perfect weeks. But the polls got even with us in the 1A division where we basically started over after the craziest week of the season. In Class 2A, results of course were the main factor in lining up the teams but key injuries were also involved this time around. Here’s a breakdown of the rankings and the top matchups ahead.

Classes 3A through 5A had very steady weeks as most of the top ten teams continued to post victories. That wasn’t the case in the 1A ranks where three teams in our poll from last week lost twice and two others were also knocked off. That’s where the biggest changes occur. There’s also a few changes in the 2A division this week.
