WRESTLING: Final Results from Northern Colorado Christmas Classic
57 teams battled through two rugged days of competition and when the matches were done, Pine Creek rolled to the championship of the annual Northern Colorado Christmas Classic. The Eagles had two individual champions but displayed great depth in amassing over 300 points to easily outdistance second place Discovery Canyon for the top trophy.
WRESTLING: Final Results from Warrior Classic
Perennial state championship contenders Roosevelt and Paonia rose to the top of the Warrior Classic Wrestling tournament on Saturday. The Roughriders (4A) and Eagles (2A) finished one-two at the prestigious Western Slope event. The host Grand Junction Central Warriors had two individual champions and ended up in a third place tie with Rocky Mountain.
