BOYS BASKETBALL: Schedule/Results 3-8-13
Other than games next week, contests today and tomorrow are the most important of the season as teams continue their quest for a berth in the state tournaments. Regional tournaments are on tap in both Class 2A and 1A while the opening round of the 3A state tournament is also on the slate. Winners from today have little time to celebrate their victories as they will turn around and play again on Saturday with a state tournament berth on the line.
Colorado Preps will post scores of all games throughout the day here and you can also follow our twitter feed at hash tag #coloradopreps as we'll list all the updates there as well. Final scores can be sent to Colorado Preps by text at 970.380.7737 or by email at kevin@coloradopreps.com.
We'll recap the day with the Built Ford Tough Scoreboard which airs throughout the state tonight from 9-10pm on the Colorado Preps Radio Network. Cameras will also be on hand at various venues as Colorado Preps will be streaming from 2A regionals in Monte Vista and Sterling. Those games can be found at www.coloradopreps.com and www.chsaa.tv. The latter will be on hand for the 5A Boys Great Eight from the Denver Coliseum this evening. We'll also have complete coverage of all three 1A regional tournaments on Saturday. Our radio affiliates are spread throughout the state with coverage as well and most of the broadcasts can be found at www.network1sports.com. Many other affiliates provide in-house streaming and you can find them at www.kmts.com (Glenwood Springs), www.gjradio.com (Grand Junction) and www.kwuf.com (Pagosa Springs).

You are underestimating alot of teams, especially in point spread---I don't think many of those game will result in such blowouts as you have predicted. However, I believe you are right about the winner in nearly all of them. I will take Simla over Rocky in an upset, Ignacio over Paonia, Sierra Grande over Holyoke---Otherwise I like your picks with the exception of the scores (Sargent will be really close with Lutheran, and Lyons will definitely not lose by 40+).
I would agree that I polarized the spreads, but I really wanted input on today's games as it seems most people agree on the regional champions. Simla Rocky is an interesting matchup, because when Rocky keeps their starters on the floor they are tough, but if they aren't discipline a scrappy squad like Simla could get them. Ignacio has a very legit chance to beat Paonia by 10+ but you can't be boring when making picks...right. (40+ is a lot huh?)
Lutheran up 53-15 on Sargent at the end of 3rd.
