FOOTBALL: Final State Championships Decided Today

The first day of December is the final championship Saturday of the 2012 prep football season. Three divisions will play their state title games today and all can be found online or on TV. Sports Authority Field at Mile High will host the 4A and 5A championship contests while the 3A Gold Ball will be handed out at Legacy Stadium in Aurora. Below is the schedule for the three matchups and a list of state champions from earlier finals this year.
CLASS 5A
FINAL: Valor Christian beat Cherokee Trail 9-0
CLASS 4A
FINAL: Monarch beat Denver South 17-14
CLASS 3A
FINAL: Silver Creek beat Rifle 32-15
