As league play gets underway in most of the division, some quite interesting match-ups are on tap for this weekend. The slate includes two clashes of ranked teams in the Plains, a big rivalry game inside the Southwest, and a meeting in the Southeast that could decide the league crown.
Three of the four featured match-ups in week five have major ramifications inside their divisions, as unbeaten league teams square off in the North, East Central, and Southwest. Also on tap is a cross-divisional pairing of Kit Carson and Hi-Plains/Flagler.
League play in Class 2A and below gets underway as those clubs open the quest for an automatic playoff berth and there are several very attractive games. Included on the list is a state championship rematch in eight man and another one versus two battle in Class 2A.
