The Class 3A, 2A and 1A basketball Final 4 matchups are set after a full day’s worth of games at various sites on the front range.

The boys and girls semifinals will be played on Friday with state champions getting crowned on Saturday, along with the 6A, 5A and 4A fields at Denver Coliseum. Here’s how the 12 remaining games came to be as they played out on Thursday.

Class 3A

Boys

(1) Resurrection Christian 53, (8) Forge Christian 49
Rez trailed early but closed on a strong run to keep its undefeated season alive. Ty Yoder led the Cougars with 14 points while Graham Riggs and Cade Crutcher each had 13.

(5) Centauri 41, (4) Yuma 40
Troy Sowards hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Centauri a thrilling win over the 3A defending state champion.

(3) Strasburg 75, (6) Highland 43
Tyce Bollers scored a team-high 19 while Brody Hopwood added 18. Strasburg built a 20-point lead by halftime and held on to help the Indians ease their way into the 3A semis.

(2) Windsor Charter Academy 74, (7) SkyView Academy 57
The Firebirds were anything but on fire from 3-point range, but they didn’t have to be. They shot 60% from the field overall and Kellen Ball scored 21 to lead WCA to the Final 4 after falling in the Sweet 16 in 2024.

Girls

(1) Resurrection Christian 54, (8) Strasburg 28
Rez allowed Strasburg to score just seven points in the first half and then definitely pulled away in the second. Olivia Klein and Callie Gillespie each scored 13 points for the Cougars.

(5) CSCS 48, (4) Cedaredge 39
Cedaredge’s perfect season came to an end at the hand of the defending 3A champions. Rose Ross scored 18 and Abigail Perry had 13 to pace the Lions.

(10) Wiggins 32, (2) Centauri 30
The improbable run to the 3A title game for Wiggins continues as the Tigers took down the No. 2 seed in the 3A field. Kennedy Kerr led the Tigers with 11 points.

(3) Denver Christian 50, (6) Salida 31
Kamiree Fuller scored 13 and Noelani Book had 12 as the Thunder punched their ticket to the 3A semis. Denver Christian outscored the Spartans 31-19 in the second half to pull away and get the win.

Class 2A

Boys

(1) Simla 56, (8) Sanford 46
The Cubs started the game on an 11-0 run, which set the tone for the remainder of the way.

(5) Plateau Valley 51, (4) Byers 49
Byers led by four points with a minute left before Plateau Valley battled back to get the win and remain alive in the 2A tournament.

(2) Crowley County 51, (7) Golden View Classical Academy 21
Crowley County allowed just one field goal in the first quarter and kept up the defensive intensity for the entire game. The Chargers led the game by as many as 36 to trigger a running clock in the fourth quarter.

(3) Bishop Machebeuf 50, (11) Sedgwick County 32
The Buffaloes built a 20-point lead at halftime and rode in cruise control in the second half to head into the Final 4.

Girls

(1) Merino 49, (8) Sargent 20
The Rams showed why they entered the tournament as the top seed as they jumped out to a 20-point at halftime and cruised in the final 16 minutes to secure a spot in Friday’s semifinals.

(13) Akron 54, (5) Burlington 44
Akron showed that ending Rangely’s undefeated season was no fluke The Rams powered by Burlington to keep their dream season alive.

(2) Sanford 53, (7) Hoehne 37
A strong second quarter gave the Mustangs some breathing room at halftime and they stretched the lead out over the final 16 minutes.

(3) Sedgwick County 37, (6) Simla 33
In one of the best games of the day, the Cougars battled back from a five-point deficit at halftime and put together a strong fourth quarter to get the win at Blue Arena.

Class 1A

Boys

(1) McClave 55, (9) Elbert 40
Tuff Kelley had a double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds as McClave rolled into the 1A semifinals at Bank of Colorado Arena in Greeley.

(4) Stratton 67, (5) Primero 48
Von Isenbart went off for 26 points and grabbed four steals along the way as the Eagles moved into the Final 4.

(7) Flatirons Academy 53, (2) Otis 34
Brandon Ewing scored 24 for the Bison and Parker Wilson had a double-double as FA recorded the biggest upset of the day in Greeley.

(3) Cheyenne Wells 49, (6) Kim/Branson 42
Corey Hill scored 32 points to lead defending champion Cheyenne Wells back into the Final 4.

Girls

(1) McClave 76, (8) Hi-Plains 35
Makayla Phillips and Ashlynn Steinbrunn each scored 14 to lead the Cardinals to the Final 4. McClave led 43-15 at halftime and cruised to the win.

(4) Stratton 57, (5) Fleming 29
Sophia Isenbart’s 19 points paced the Eagles to a big win over the Wildcats. Claire Miltenberger helped out in the effort with seven assists.

(2) Idalia 40, (7) Evangel Christian 25
Krista Wieser and Jaylyn Kechter each scored 13 as Idalia powered its way into the Final 4.

(3) Eads 40, (6) Briggsdale 27
Anna Wollert and Tailee Weeks-Johnson each scored in double figures to give Eads a comfortable win.
