The boys lacrosse playoffs are set to begin this week as CHSAA released the state tournament brackets on Sunday. The first round of the Class 4A tournament will be played on Tuesday while the first round of the 5A tournament takes place on Wednesday. The higher seeds on the bracket will host games until the semifinals, when games will be moved to Englewood High School.

The state championship games will be played at DU’s Peter Barton Stadium on May 19. The 4A championship game will begin at 5 p.m. with the 5A game scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start.

The 2025 boys lacrosse state tournament brackets:

Class 5A

Cherry Creek takes the top seed in the 5A bracket after finishing the regular season with a perfect 15-0 record. The Bruins haven’t made it to the state championship game since 2019 when they beat Kent Denver 12-7. That capped a run of three championships in five years for Creek and the program would love nothing more than to get back to the top of the 5A lacrosse mountain.

Defending champion Valor Christian is the No. 3 seed and finished the season with five straight wins. The two losses for the Eagles this season came against out-of-state opponents.

Arapahoe and Colorado Academy round out the top four and will host all the way to the semifinal games, should they keep winning in the tournament.

Class 4A

Like Cherry Creek, Aspen finished the regular season undefeated and earned the No. 1 overall seed as a result. The Skiers have outscored their opponents 142-47 this season.

Aspen has one state championship to its name as it beat Valor Christian 17-12 in the 4A state title game in 2015.

Jeffco has solid representation as Dakota Ridge comes in at No. 2 with Evergreen coming in at No. 3. Air Academy put together a strong regular season, with its only loss coming to Cheyenne Mountain, and will enter the tournament as the No. 4 seed.

In the top 14 spots on the bracket, eight of them come from the western part of the state.
