Jack Sansone threw another gem, and Roosevelt won another game Tuesday.

That’s just about been the whole story this spring for the Roughriders, who’ve gotten stellar pitching from their staff en route to 17 straight wins heading into the final two weeks of the regular season.

In their latest, Sansone threw five innings of one-run ball and drove in two runs in an 11-1 win over Thompson Valley.

In doing so, he tied ace Brady Mylander with his sixth win on the mound this spring. Mylander ranks 25th in the nation with a 0.22 ERA across 32 innings, while Sansone owns a 1.12 ERA in 31 1/3.

The Roughriders (17-0, 12-0, 4A/3A Longs Peak League) are still No. 1 in CHSAA’s Class 4A rankings and can clinch their league title next week with a three-game cushion in the standings.

Below are the other current double-digit winning streaks in 5A and 4A baseball.
