We continue our look at each team in Class 1A boys basketball with a rundown of the top returnees from the Black Forest conference. As teams prep for the upcoming 2019-20 season, we run down the top players returning for each club within the conference. Numbers are based on statistics submitted to MaxPreps from last year and do not take into account those players who may have moved or transferred to another school.
BLACK FOREST
Evangelical Christian won the league title a year ago and ran through the conference slate without a loss (6-0). The Eagles also advanced to the state tournament and won two games there. After falling to Haxtun (59-49) in the quarterfinals, ECA then fought past Prairie (57-37) and Kit Carson (68-51) to land the consolation crown. Elbert (5-1) finished second in league play with Kiowa (4-2) placing third.
