Since we’re about one month away from the start of post-season play in Class 1A girls’ basketball, Colorado Preps will begin the regular process of projecting which teams will advance in the playoffs. Our first round of selections deals with which teams will advance from district tournaments into the regional round. Districts 1 and 6 each receive two automatic berths into regionals with the remaining districts all earning three.
For the regional round, districts 1 and 6 square off with two teams moving to the state tournament. The Northern regional consists of qualifiers from Districts 4, 5 and 8 with the top three teams then advancing to the state with qualifiers from districts in 2, 3 and 7 battling for state berths in the Southern region.
Below are selections for which teams we fell will advance from districts. They are not listed in any order for this first round of selections but we will eventually select the district placement as well.

- District #8: Shining Mountain, Belleview Christian, Mile High Academy
