The 12-team Class 3A volleyball state tournament is filled with teams from the Patriot and Metro as the two conferences feature nine teams in the bracket. The Patriot leads the way with six entrants including regular season champion Platte Valley and five-time defending state champion Eaton. The Metro has three clubs in the tournament including top seeded Lutheran and first-timer Prospect Ridge. The best record though belongs to Alamosa as the Moose are one of just unbeaten teams statewide.
Matches open at 8:00am on Thursday and the format has been changed from pool play to a double-elimination bracket through the semifinals. The top four seeds receive first round byes.
