Saturday night we posted potential regional hosts in 3A volleyball based on RPI but those standings have again been updated and there are changes; not only in the top 12 but across the entire field. Official pairings will be released on Monday but we take the current RPI standings and lay out a potential bracket.
We true seed the tournament but teams can be moved for travel purposes and to prevent clubs from the same league from being placed in the same regional. In it’s current format, there are some changes that we feel we take place across Regions 7, 8 and 9 to reduce travel and prevent teams from the same conference from being placed together. We would also expect Lake County (#35) and Kent Denver (#36) to exchange positions as well as the Sun Devils are currently placed in the same regional with league rival Lutheran. The Lions are 23-0 as the defending champs join Sterling as the lone unbeaten squads in 3A volleyball.
Again, these are PROJECTIONS only and do not influence the bracket in any manner. CHSAA will produce official pairings on Monday.
