Honestly not sure if we can find a better 4A volleyball regional tournament than what would take place if the pairings were released today.  In using RPI standings from October 31st, we true seeded the bracket 1-36 and there are zero conflicts concerning teams from the same league in a regional.
RPI standings will be finalized on Sunday and the top 36 teams in those standings will qualify for the regional tournament.  League champions that finish outside the top 36 also get in but that doesn’t seem to be a concern this year.  The top 12 teams also host regional events.
Once teams are placed in the bracket, they can be moved up or down one spot to avoid having two teams from the same conference in the same regional.  And they can also be moved for geographic purposes but again in the bracket below, neither seems to be an issue.
Obviously standings will change this weekend as many teams still have three to five matches remaining in various tournaments set for Friday and Saturday.
