Official practice begins today for basketball and wrestling programs today in anticipation of the start of the season later this month.  In both sports, the first official contests can be played on November 29th so teams have about two weeks of prep time before seeing first games and matches.  Colorado Preps will provide daily and weekly analysis of both basketball and wrestling throughout the entire season.

For basketball, the regular season must conclude on Saturday February 19th with the district tournaments for Classes 1A, 2A and 3A to take place in the following week.  State tournaments are set for March 10-12th at various locations in Colorado with those announced at a later date.

There are five defending champions in both boys and girls basketball.
