Final scores will first be posted on our daily scoreboard.  All games there are listed in bracket order.

10:05pm:  Class 2A regional finals are set – please note the bracket WILL be reseeded before the state quarterfinals next Thursday – the new bracket will come out on Sunday once RPI is finalized.

9:31pm: Class 3A regional championship pairings are set – we list the games in bracket order as the teams will NOT be reseeded ahead of the Great 8 next Thursday in Denver.

  • #2 Vanguard vs #15 University
  • #7 Gunnison vs #10 Sterling
  • #3 Faith Christian vs #14 St Mary’s
  • #6 DSST-Byers vs #11 Alamosa

9:22pm:  Holly uses a strong offensive performance to get past Center 70-51.  The win pushes Holly into a regional final showdown with Highland on Saturday.  It’s a rematch of a state semifinal from last year won by the Huskies 44-36.
9:20pm:  We will have a fourth meeting this year between Ignacio and Mancos as the Bobcats advance to the regional finals.  They led Dolores Huerta by as many as 20 and held off a late surge for a 72-67 decision.  Ignacio won the first meeting with Mancos but the Bluejay have captured the last two.  Saturday’s winner moves to the state tournament.
9:16pm:  Sterling picks up a win over Kent Denver and Centauri takes out Salida so there’s just one game left to finish out the first round of the 3A state tournament.  The last game has St Mary’s against Englewood and once that wraps up, we can run down the pairings for Saturday.
9:03pm:  In beating Crowley County 44-30, Sedgwick County sets up an all Lower Platte regional championship game with Wray on Saturday.  It’s for the region 6 championship and a spot in the state tournament field.
8:53pm:  A nice high scoring win for University as the Bulldogs down Machebeuf 72-52.  Next up they face #2 Vanguard in the regional finals on Saturday.  The game is slated to start at 1:00pm.
8:27pm:  Regional Finals are now set for Class 1A – eight games on Saturday with all winners moving to the state tournament.  The bracket will be seeded on Sunday.

  • Sangre De Cristo vs Ouray
  • DeBeque vs Primero
  • Mile High Academy vs Longmont Christian
  • Denver Waldorf vs Merino
  • Briggdale vs Denver Jewish Day
  • Kit Carson vs South Baca
  • Walsh vs Cheraw
  • ECA vs Kim/Branson

8:23pm:  In a candidate for game of the day, South Baca outlasted Pikes Peak Christian 59-57 in double overtime to keep their season alive.  The Patriots now challenge Kit Carson for the regional championship tomorrow afternoon.
8:08pm:  A #25 seed rarely gets the home court advantage in the post-season but due to a confirmed case of coronavirus in Summit County, the 2A Region 8 bracket set for Vail Mountain was moved to Clear Creek high school.  Vail Mountain is the #8 seed and won a “road game” over the Golddiggers to advance.  The Gore Rangers finished fifth in the Western Slope conference and now faces two-time defending state champion Yuma in the regional final.
8:00pm:  Burlington becomes the first lower seed to pick up a win in Class 2A.  The #19 Cougars rallied past #14  Heritage Christian 53-49 to set up a regional final matchup against #3 Sanford.  That game will tip in Sanford at 2:00pm on Saturday with the winner reaching the Great 8 in Loveland.
7:40pm:  The most difficult win for a 3A regional host thus far belongs to Gunnison.  Seeded 7th and playing in the high altitude, they survived Colorado Academy 52-49.  The Cowboys will next meet the winner of #10 Sterling and #23 Kent Denver which is game two on that court.
7:30pm:  The top two seeds in the 2A division pick up lopsided wins on Friday as Limon dumps Del Norte by 34 points and #2 Highland stuffs Calhan by 49.  Both clubs move into regional finals on Saturday.  Limon faces either Vail Christian or Dawson while Highland deals with the winner of Holly-Center.
7:00pm:  #5 Fowler was a final four team in Class 2A a year ago and their post-season run in 2020 began with a 59-36 victory over West Grand.  The Grizzlies are hosting the Region 5 bracket and will either Crested Butte or Dayspring Christian in the finals on Saturday.
6:57pm:  #6 DSST-Byers survived a strong push from Aspen before posting a 51-36 victory.  DSST-Byers led by single digits through three quarters before finally grabbing some cushion over the final eight minutes.  Game two of the Region 6 bracket is between #11 Alamosa & #22 Lamar.  DSST-Byers gets the winner on Saturday.
6:54pm:  Trailing for most of the game, DSST-Green Valley rallied to stun Coal Ridge 59-51.  The game was expected to be close as the clubs were seeded 16-17 in the 32-team bracket.  The reward is not a good one as the Raptors probably face top ranked and unbeaten Resurrection Christian on Saturday.  The Cougars meet Riverdale Ridge.
6:51pm:  Two-time defending 2A state champion began the post-season with a 63-45 win over Meeker.  The game was originally set for Vail Mountain HS but moved to Clear Creek due to coronavirus concerns.  Yuma is seeded 9th in the bracket following a loss to Holyoke in the district semifinals last week.  Up next is either Vail Mountain or Clear Creek.  Those two clubs meet next.
6:46pm:  Jaden Stoffell netted nine three pointers and broke the 40-point barrier in leading Manual past Ridgeview Academy 94-66.  The red-hot Thunderbolts move into the regional finals at home tomorrow against either #13 Eaton or #20 Middle Park.  Those two are schedule tip off at 7:00pm this evening.
6:36pm:  Finals are now set for the 1A Northeast Regional – games are tomorrow with all winners moving to the state tournament next week in Greeley.

  • 2:45pm:  #2 Denver Waldorf vs #5 Merino
  • 6:30pm:  #1 Mile High Academy vs #6 Longmont Christian
  • 8:15pm:  #3 Briggsdale vs #4 Denver Jewish Day

6:35pm:  Merino won the district championship last week and continued the momentum with a 59-46 win over Stratton/Liberty in the 1A Northeast Regional.  The Rams are the third higher seed to collect a first round win.
6:20pm:  Sanford plays well in the final three quarters on their way to a 45-30 win over Telluride in round one of 2A Region 3.  The 3rd seeded Indians now face either #14 Heritage Christian or #19 Burlington in the finals tomorrow afternoon at 2:00pm.
6:11pm:  Following a slow start, #7 Peyton downed Plateau Valley 61-29 in the first of 2A Region 7.  The Panthers led 13-12 after one quarter and then allowed just 17 points the rest of the way.  They’ll stay at home tomorrow for their regional final against the winner of #10 Denver Christian & #23 Holyoke.  That game is set to tip at 6:30pm.
6:06pm:  Faith Christian knocks off Colorado Springs Christian 66-44 in the first 3A boys game at Faith Christian high school.  The host Eagles will next face the winner of St Mary’s-Englewood who will play on the same court later this evening.  The regional championship game is set for 2:30pm tomorrow afternoon.
6:00pm:  Manitou Springs is the most recent winner.  The Mustangs downed Jefferson Academy 55-39 and now the 12th seeded team in the 3A bracket is just one win away from the Great 8.  Manitou meets the winner of #5 Centauri and #28 Salida in the regional championship tomorrow.  The Falcons are hosting the two-day event.
5:30pm:  Two-time defending state champion Yuma was scheduled to start play in the regional round at 4:00pm today at Vail Mountain but the game time has been pushed back to 5:30pm and moved to Clear Creek HS due to a coronavirus case in Summit County.
5:22pm:  No trouble for Lutheran as the Lions roll past Pagosa Springs 83-52 to set up the first regional final in Class 3A.  The Lions now face #25 Fort Lupton tomorrow as the Blue Devils upset the host DSST-Montview club earlier in the day.  Lutheran is seeded 9th in the bracket but has spent much of the season in the top three of the statewide rankings.  They fell to 9th in the bracket following a loss to Manual in the Metro district championship game last Saturday.
5:21pm:  Cheraw picks up a quality win over Genoa Hugo 46-37 on day one of the 1A Southeast regional.  The Wolverines have played quality basketball down the stretch and will now square off with #2 Walsh tomorrow for a spot in the state quarterfinals.
3:33pm:  Next games to tip off are both a bit behind schedule as Pagosa Springs meets Lutheran in Class 3A and Genoa Hugo faces Cheraw in the 1A Southeast bracket.  The Southeast schedule is running behind due to an overtime battle between Kim/Branson and Granada earlier today.
3:32pm:  Longmont Christian advances in the 1A Northeast regional as they move past Haxtun 50-31.  The Warriors are seeded 6th in the nine-team bracket and will challenge #1 Mile High Academy in a regional final on Saturday.  That game is slated for 6:30pm.
3:28pm:  Just one game into the Class 3A state tournament and we already have an upset.  8th seeded and host DSST-Montview was stunned at the end by #25 Fort Lupton as the Blue Devils pick up the 61-60 victory.  The Blue Devils now await the winner between #9 Lutheran and #24 Pagosa Springs which is scheduled to tip at 3:30pm and of course is running a bit late.
2:05pm:  Next boys game gets underway right away as Haxtun meets Longmont Christian in the 1A Northeast regional.  Class 3A also gets started at 2:00pm with Fort Lupton meeting DSST-Montview.  Montview is the host team but the tournament has been moved to Manual HS to accomodate more fans.
2:03pm:  A crazy way to start the day at the 1A Southeast regional in La Junta.  Granada roared back from a double digit deficit in the second half to force overtime with Kim/Branson but the Bobcats fell short 55-54.  The Bobcats missed important free throws in the final 20 seconds and then Kim/Branson hit the game winner at the buzzer to advance.  They face #3 seed Evangelical Christian in a regional final at 12:30pm Saturday afternoon.  Granada ends their season and the career of long-time coach Manual Gonzales.  He announced earlier this year that he would retire at the end of the season.
1:53pm:  First win of the regional tournament round in Class 1A goes to Denver Jewish Day.  They outlasted Idalia 45-31 and advance to a regional final with 3rd seeded Briggsdale tomorrow night at 8:15pm.  Briggsdale started the weekend #9 in RPI and Denver Jewish Day #10.
