New boys basketball rankings have been released by CHSAA and the top new involves Sterling’s move to the top spot in Class 3A. The Tigers collected an impressive top 10 victory over University last Friday while previous number one St Mary’s fell to Centauri on the road on Saturday. The Pirates fell just one spot with the loss and still collected eight first place votes. Centauri climbed two spots to number five.
The remaining number one teams remain atop their respective polls with four newcomers joining the rankings including two in Class 1A.
The top 10 teams plus the next five in each class are listed below. Newcomers are listed in bold with the number of first place votes listed next to each team. Rankings reflect the vote totals from coaches throughout the state.
