COMPARING FOOTBALL RANKINGS TO RESULTS

Now that all seven state champions have been crowned, we thought it would be fun to look back at the pre-season rankings and see how those polls stood up to actual results.  Four teams that earned state titles over the past two weeks started the season ranked #1, while a fifth was ranked #2 and a sixth #3.  The biggest miss came in Class 2A where Sterling grabbed the state crown but was outside the Top 10 to begin the season.
