Tighter voting in our consensus football rankings for Classes 2A and 1A this week as only ten teams received votes in both classifications. Totals are based on voting results in the CHSAA, RPI, MaxPreps and Packard polls each week. And this year, a formula based on these numbers can be used by the football committee to seed teams in the bracket.
This poll however will not be used to determine which teams make the playoff bracket. Those teams are again decided by RPI standings with league champions earning automatic bids even if they don’t finish in the Top 16.
Teams in the consensus rankings are given 10 points for each first place vote, nine for a second place vote, eight for third and so on through the top 10 in each set of rankings. We list each team that received at least one vote.
