After receiving many requests to post consensus rankings for six and eight man football last week, we have added the story to our list for this week.  Our rankings pull together voting totals from RPI, CHSAA, MaxPreps and Packard polls to come up with a comprehensive Top 10.  Such numbers can be used to help seed playoff brackets in Classes 1A through 5A this year but won’t be a determining factor in these two divisions.  They are simply for fun and give readers some additional ranking information.
Teams are awarded 10 points for a first-place vote in each set of rankings, nine points for second place, eight for third and so on until each team that received a top 10 vote is totaled.  A team that receives 40 points is an unanimous choice at number one in that respective class.
