Since all four polling services have updated their rankings a bit earlier this week, Colorado Preps can provide the weekly consensus rankings on Monday instead of Thursday. The rankings in this story are based on combining vote totals from MaxPreps, Packard, CHSAA and RPI to come up with an overall top 10.
The four polling metrics will be used to determine playoff qualifiers in all seven classifications this year. We want to stress this is NOT the official formula for ranking teams as some of the polls are given a bit more weight than others. But this gives you an idea of where teams sit entering the final week of the regular season. CHSAA is expected to release official numbers later this week to again let clubs know their standing before they play their final game.
In our polls, teams receive 10 points for each first place, nine for second, eight for third and so on through the top 10 spots in each set of rankings. We list every team that received at least one vote.
