There’s a very light schedule of volleyball on Friday but we will continue our nightly coverage in breaking down results and what they mean to conference races.  Please check with us through the night as we update the info at results are turned in.

CLASS 1A

  • Fleming picks up an important 3-0 sweep of Briggsdale.  The win avenged a five-set home loss to the Falcons in early September and leaves the teams tied for second in the North Central.
  • DeBeque scores hard fought three set win over Vail Christian to remain tied for second in the Western Slope with Vail Mountain.  Both teams are one game back of unbeaten Meeker.
  • La Veta stayed unbeaten and tied with Sangre De Cristo for the Southern Peaks lead by sweeping Manzanola.  Sangre De Cristo remained perfect with a 3-0 win over Antonito.
  • Dove Creek remains in sole possession of the San Juan league after beating Ouray in four sets.

CLASS 2A

  • Meeker continues to roll through the Western Slope as they remain unbeaten in conference play and overall with a 3-0 win over Paonia.  The Cowboys remain alone in first.
  • Vail Mountain downed Hotchkiss in three sets to stay tied with DeBeque in second place in the Western Slope.  The Gore Rangers have a win over the Dragons so they have the tiebreaker.
  • Yuma sweeps Wiggins in three sets to capture the Lower Platte championship.  Wiggins will settle for second place.  Teams were ranked #1 and #3 in RPI going in.
  • Simla kept their hold on the Black Forest lead by moving past Fountain Valley 3-0.
  • Del Norte stayed perfect and alone in first in the Southern Peaks with a 3-0 win over South Park.  Sanford and Sargent both won so they continue to share second place two games back.
  • Union Colony Prep stayed tied with Lyons in second place inside the Mile High by beating Dayspring Christian 3-0.

CLASS 3A

  • Faith Christian earns three game sweep of Stargate on the road to remain part of a three-way tie for the Metro lead with Lutheran and Prospect Ridge
