As you know there have been many changes in girls’ basketball this year due to COVID and the shortened season. One new playoff wrinkle involves league champions earning automatic bids into the state tournament. With games wrapped up for the regular season, we can now provide a list of those teams.
Please note that in mixed class leagues, only one champion is crowned and we’ve placed that champion in the division where they will compete in the playoffs. For example, the 2A/3A Confluence league champion is Lotus so we place the Meteors in the 2A classification.
Playoff brackets for all 10 classes are set to be released on Monday. First round games take place in the very next night. 24 teams qualify for Classes 1A-2A-3A with the largest two divisions each receiving 32 post-season bids.
