A tremendous weekend of girls basketball tips off on Friday with 29 top ten teams seeing action on Friday night.  The top game is in Class 2A between #1 Holyoke and #2 Sedgwick County as those two battle to remain in first in the rugged Lower Platte.  Another top 10 game is found in that conference between #5 Merino (1A) and #9 Akron (2A).

Elsewhere the schedule is just as good including #1 Windsor as the Wizards try to secure the Northern title against #4 Mead in Class 4A and then #8 Roosevelt looks to wrap up the Longs Peak title with a win over #10 Berthoud.  In Class 5A, there’s much anticipation as well as traditional powers #2 Grandview and #6 Regis face off.
