Excellent Friday night schedule for top 10 girls’ basketball teams with the headliner in the big school ranks between Mullen and Valor Christian. Both are ranked number one in their class and both are defending state champions.
Two top 10 battles can be found in Class 2A as #5 Holyoke hosts #9 Wray and #6 Soroco is home to #7 Cedaredge. The winner between Holyoke-Wray steps forward as the top challenger to Sedgwick County for the Lower Platte championship while the survivor between Soroco-Cedaredge could easily end up with the Western Slope crown.
#2 Fleming from 1A meets a fourth straight ranked opponent as the venture to #7 Stratton. The Wildcats held off Lone Star last night and also moved past Merino and Kit Carson last week.
