Six man football often brings high scoring games to the gridiron but the annual battle between Peetz and Briggsdale took it to a new level.  The host Bulldogs held on for a wild 101-85 victory that will stand in the record books for quite some time.  The game set a new mark for most combined points in a game; moving past the previous mark set in 1930 when Hugo beat Vona 176-6.
Before today, Briggsdale was also involved in the game where the fourth most combined points were scored as they beat Longmont Christian 83-75 in 2016.  That game now drops to fifth all-time in most combined points in a single contest.
Offensively, Peetz scored 14 touchdowns and generated 547 yards on just 53 plays according to MaxPreps.  Bryson Long ran for 256 yards and six touchdowns on 25 attempts.  Cooper White also scored three touchdowns on the ground and Zachary Holtz one.  Holtz completed six of eight passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns and connected on 8 of 12 extra point attempts.  He also returned a kickoff for a touchdown.  Briggsdale has not reported stats to MaxPreps.
We caught up with Peetz coach Scott Sorenson after the game to recap it.
