Football practice for the 2019 season opened Monday and with the start of the new campaign comes the first set of rankings from CHSAA.  These rankings take on more importance this year because at the end of the season they will be used to help determine which teams will qualify for the post-season.  As a result, more coaches are taking part in the rankings this year.
The top 10 teams in each classification are listed below.  Numbers in parenthesis indicate the number of first place votes each squad collected.
Rankings are released each Monday of the regular season and are based on votes cast by coaches in each classification.
