UPDATED:  Regional tournaments have concluded and RPI standings updated Sunday morning so the 1A state volleyball bracket continues to take shape.  First round matches at state are set for Thursday morning with the top four seeds earning first round byes.  The tournament, for the second straight year, is a double elimination format through the state semifinals.  Once the state semifinals are set, the bracket becomes single elimination.
Eight regional winners from Friday and Saturday have gained automatic entry into the state tournament.  Four more wildcards will be made official by CHSAA on Monday but with RPI standings unlikely to change before then, we believe the wildcards will be Briggsdale, South Baca, Springfield and Otis.  They are the four highest remaining clubs that qualified for but did not win a regional tournament.  Again those selections are unofficial and won’t become official until a release by CHSAA Monday morning.
