In a change from an earlier statement on RPI through the post-season, it now appears that the standings will be updated through district and regional tournaments as done a year ago. A second letter has been sent to CHSAA member schools this week indicating a change back to the original process. We stated in stories earlier this week that the RPI would be finalized at the end of the regular season and not updated during that playoffs. That was in reference to a memo sent to schools originally on February 2nd. As mentioned, a new letter was released this week indicating a reversal and that RPI standings will be updated through the playoffs.
These numbers come into play during district, regional and state tournament seeding on all five levels of basketball. We will reflect the change in future columns about the post-season.
