Not a single top 10 matchup can be found on the boys’ basketball slate for Saturday.  There are however some nice meetings involving ranked teams against clubs trying to crack the top 10 in their respective class.
Starting in Class 1A, #8 Kit Carson plays host to Arickaree/Woodlin.  The visitors sit at 5-2 on the season and have three straight including a 70-57 win over Flagler/Hi Plains on Friday.
In Class 2A, #7 Simla gets challenged with a road game to Peyton.  It’s the start of Black Forest conference play for both schools.
In Class 3A, #3 Faith Christian heads to Pinnacle.  The Timberwolves are 4-1 on the season with a lone loss to Manual 87-80 in mid-December.  #2 Kent Denver and #8 La Junta also return to the court after suffering losses on Friday.  The Sun Devils lost a thriller to #3 Alamosa and the Tigers were bounced by Manitou Springs.
In Class 4A, #9 Pueblo West tries to make it through the rugged Rampart Tournament with three consecutive wins.  They’ knocked off Colorado Springs Christian and Fruita Monument the last two nights and finishes with a game against the host Rams today.
In Class 5A, early league continues in the Centennial where #6 Grandview meets Arapahoe and #9 Eaglecrest faces Mullen.
