It was Valentine’s day but there was still plenty of basketball around the state and Colorado Preps recapped it with the weekly Scoreboard Show.  We also visited with several coaches on the NAPA Hotline and those interviews in their entirety are available on-demand below.  Simply click on the coach of your choice to hear the audio.

FOWLER BOYS:  Mark Lowther

The Grizzlies stayed perfect in the 2A Santa Fe with a convincing win over Crowley County.  A strong second half pushed them to the victory.

HIGHLAND BOYS:  Pete Freeman

A late rally in the second quarter got the Huskies rolling and the top ranked team in Class 2A then finished off Denver Christian 80-55.  The win also moved Highland very close to the Mile High championship.

FOSSIL RIDGE GIRLS:  Jamie Menefee

The Sabercats won the battle of league unbeatens with Broomfield to take over the Front Range conference lead.  They also remain undefeated against conference rivals heading into another big game with Fairview next week.

FAITH CHRISTIAN BOYS:  Abram Zeimer

The Eagles rallied from a halftime deficit to knock off Machebeuf and secure second place in the 3A Metro.  They close the regular season at Kent Denver next Tuesday and then take part in the district tournament where they will be the #2 seed.

RYE GIRLS:  Kermit Spencer

The Thunderbolts are 17-0 but have a difficult closing stretch to the regular season.  They meet fellow top 10 member Simla on Saturday and then have the much anticipated battle with 17-0 Rocky Ford next Tuesday to determine the Santa Fe crown.

SPRINGFIELD GIRLS:  Kevin Stolebarger

A fast start pushed the #1 team in Class 1A RPI to a conference win over Wiley.  Now the Longhorns gear up for a very important Ark Valley clash with South Baca next Thursday.  The winner lands the league crown and the top district seed.

MEEKER GIRLS:  Jamie Rogers

A high scoring road win at Hotchkiss (70-61) gave Meeker the 2A/1A Western Slope championship.  They also need just one more win to finish off the conference schedule without a loss.

CEDAREDGE GIRLS:  Russell Coleman

A tough win over Roaring Fork pushed the Bruins into sole possession of second place in the 3A Western Slope behind Delta.  There’s little time to celebrate as the Bruins face a very good Grand Valley club on Saturday.

CONIFER BOYS:  Eric Valerio

Back to back wins over Fort Lupton and Weld Central gave the Lobos the regular season crown in the 4A/3A Colorado 8 conference.  They could face both teams again in the league tournament which starts next week.
