WHEAT RIDGE BOYS – Tommy Dowd
The Farmers lost sole possession of the 4A Jeffco lead with a loss to Golden on Wednesday but kept a share of the top spot by beating D’Evelyn on Friday.
STERLING BOYS – Mike Holloway
In a nice bounce back win following a home loss to Resurrection Christian, the third ranked Tigers (3A) won at #8 Eaton.
HIGHLAND BOYS – Pete Freeman
The high scoring Huskies hit a new level on Friday as they tallied 107 in a win over Heritage Christian. The teams had just two losses overall going into the contest.
KIT CARSON BOYS – Damon Dechant
In a key game inside the 1A High Plains conference, the Wildcats picked up a win over nearby rival Cheyenne Wells.
GRANDVIEW GIRLS – Josh Ulitzky
In a highly anticipated state finals rematch, #2 Grandview took advantage of their size inside to down #1 Cherry Creek 65-40.
THOMPSON VALLEY GIRLS – Pete Arrington
The Eagles stayed alone atop the 4A Northern conference standings with a road win at Greeley Central. The teams were separated by just one game in the standings at the start of the game.
HOLYOKE GIRLS – John Baumgartner
Following a slow start, the highly ranked Dragons collected an important league win over Sedgwick County ahead of a huge matchup with Wray on Saturday
SANGRE DE CRISTO GIRLS – Dave Forster
The T-Birds took a major step to winning another Southern Peaks title with a hard fought 34-27 win over Cotopaxi on Friday. Both teams were unbeaten in the conference going in.
DURANGO GIRLS – Tim Fitzpatrick
The Demons opened up Southwestern League play with an impressive 41-26 win over 8th ranked Fruita Monument. It was just their second home game of the season.
