Practice for spring football gets underway tomorrow as 60 teams are set to get on the field for the first time since the end of the 2019 campaign. Those 60 clubs will be split up across five divisions with state championship games set for May 13-15th in Pueblo.
Games can begin on March 18th and the schedule will be the same as in the fall. Teams can play up to six regular season games with eight qualifiers to the playoffs. Post-season play begins on April 30th. Qualifiers will be determined by the same criteria involving rankings from RPI, MaxPreps, Packard and CHSAA.
The divisions and conferences are broken down below. Primero is the lone six-man program that made a decision to play in the spring but will bump up to eight man for their schedule this year. Classes 1A and 2A were also combined for one division.
