With the New Year comes the resumption of the high school basketball season and this is the week Colorado Preps begins weekly recaps and previews for each class in the state. Those reports begin on Tuesday and ahead of those stories is a quick look at the top games lined up for this week.
The list is very long this week and will shorten in the future as games this week and next help sort out which teams are legitimate league championship and state tournament contenders.
Some of the very top games include Bayfield at Ignacio, Alamosa at Kent Denver, Mountain View at Longmont, Smoky Hill at Grandview and Chaparral at Denver East. Some of the games listed also involve tournaments hosted by Rampart and Roosevelt.
