UPDATED CONFERENCE SCENARIOS

It’s a very long story and recap but we wanted to update conference scenarios following results from Thursday night football.  We’ll reset the scene following action tonight.
 

CLASS 5A

FRONT RANGE

• Fairview has clinched league title
• Legacy has clinched second place

METRO 10

• Smoky Hill can clinch title with win over Westminster
• If that happens, then Denver East is second regardless of outcome vs Rangeview (SAT)
• If Westminster and Denver East both win; the two share the title with Smoky Hill
• Only league champ is guaranteed playoff berth – #2 team must wait on wildcard from committee

METRO EAST

• Cherry Creek is league champion with win over Grandview
• If that happens, then Eaglecrest is second
• A Grandview win leaves them tied with Creek & Eaglecrest in 1st

METRO SOUTH

• Valor Christian has clinched the league title
• Winner of Castle View-ThunderRidge is second and loser is third

METRO WEST

• Columbine has clinched league title
• Winner of Ralston Valley-Pomona is second and loser is third
• Arvada West is fourth

SOUTH

• Regis has clinched league title
• Winner between Doherty-Fountain Fort Carson is second and loser is third

• No team can clinch this week
• Chatfield & Bear Creek won Thursday to reach 3-1
• Dakota Ridge needs a win to keep pace

LONGS PEAK

• No team can clinch championship this week
• Skyline improved to 4-0 with win LN — clinched top 2 finish
• Loveland needs win to keep pace — plays Skyline next week

METRO

• Montrose and Ponderosa share lead at 3-0 and meet in Parker Saturday
• Montrose can clinch championship with win
• Ponderosa cannot clinch since Heritage beat Gateway on Thursday

NORTHERN

• Greeley West clinched title by beating Windsor LN
• Broomfield needs win over Brighton keep pace with Longmont for 2^nd — meet the Trojans next week

PIONEER

• Standley Lake and Fruita Monument share the lead (3-0)
• Standley Lake can clinch with win
• Fruita Monument cannot clinch since Vista Peak won LN — play the Bison NW

SOUTHERN 1

• Pine Creek and Grand Junction Central share the lead (3-0)
• Grand Junction Central can clinch title with win
• Pine Creek cannot clinch since Vista Ridge beat Palmer LN — play Wolves next week

SOUTHERN 2

• Pueblo West and Rampart share the lead at 3-0
• Neither team can clinch as they collide next week

• Green Mountain can clinch championship with win
• Winner between Conifer-Evergreen will be alone in second

NORTH METRO

• Frederick moved to 4-0 with win over Skyview LN
• Mead matches that mark with win this week
• Frederick-Mead play next week so neither can clinch this week

NORTH VALLEY

• Fort Morgan to moved to 4-0 with win over Niwot
• Erie matches that mark with win tonight
• Fort Morgan-Erie play next week so neither can clinch this week

SOUTH CENTRAL

• Pueblo East (4-0) beat Pueblo Central LN and clinches title if Durango loses tonight
• Durango (2-1) plays Pueblo East in the final week — stay in contention with win

SOUTHERN

• Harrison (4-0) beat Sand Creek LN — clinch title if Canon City beats Mitchell tonight
• Since Harrison won, the winner between Canon City-Mitchell is alone in second

WESTERN SLOPE

• Palisade clinches title w/win if Glenwood Springs also beats Summit
• Glenwood Springs takes over second w/win if Palisade also wins
