Several interesting matchups fill up the top 10 volleyball schedule for Friday night.  Leading the list are conference meetings in Class 1A between #2 Otis-#9 Flagler/Hi Plains and #6 Fleming-Weldon Valley.  The winner of the Otis-Flagler/Hi Plains match likely ends up with the league championship while Fleming and Weldon Valley are both trying to chase down #3 Briggsdale in the North Central.
In Class 2A, #2 Meeker has two matches on the Eastern side of the state this weekend.  The Cowboys start with a match tonight against formerly ranked Limon.  Then on Saturday, Meeker heads farther south to face Rocky Ford.  #10 Akron played better against top ranked Yuma in a three-set loss on Thursday and should get back into the win column with Sedgwick County this evening.
The big school division schedule is dominated by the Eaglecrest Tournament which opens tonight and concludes tomorrow night.  Among the teams participating are #1 Eaton (3A), #6 Fossil Ridge (5A) and Cheyenne Mountain.  The host Raptors are ranked #4 in Class 5A and should contend for their own championship.
