One top 10 volleyball team is involved in tournament play today and a few others take in important conference matches as the schedule starts to wrap up the month of September.  #5 Alamosa (3A) is the one ranked club in tournament action as they’re off to the Battle Mountain event today and tomorrow.
In the smaller classes, #7 Del Norte looks to basically wrap up the 2A Southern Peaks crown by winning at Sargent.  With a win, the Tigers would have at least a two-game edge on all other conference members.
Also in 2A, #1 Yuma needs a home win over Holyoke to keep a share of the Lower Platte lead with Wiggins. The Tigers were winners over Merino on Thursday.
Yuma must also avoid looking to Saturday’s showdown with Kit Carson.  Both teams enter that match ranked number one in their class.  Kit Carson is also in action tonight as they host High Plains league rival Cheyenne Wells.
