Basketball clubs continue to gear up for the fast approaching 2019-20 season and Colorado Preps continues the rundown of top players and teams from each conference.  Next up are the 10 teams from the 1A Southern Peaks.
Sangre De Cristo had a strong 2018-19 season as the T-Birds advanced all the way to the state championship game last March.  They downed Kit Carson (52-41) in the first round and then outlasted Merino (62-53) in overtime before coming up short to DeBeque (55-42) in the state finals.  The T-Birds were the only league team to earn more than a dozen wins last season as Creede, Sierra Grande, Cotopaxi and Primero battled for spots behind the league champs.
We list the top three returnees for each club in several categories.  Numbers are based on stats posted to MaxPreps during the 2018-19 season.
