Regular season play opens for the 2019-20 boys basketball season this week and Colorado Preps continues to provide previews of each team in each conference. This report focuses on the 2A/1A Mile High conference.
In a league featuring 13 teams, Highland had the best run through the 2018-19 season as the Huskies made it all the way to the state finals.  They battled Yuma through the full 32 minutes but came up short 52-39.  The Huskies finished a sparkling 25-2 overall.
Denver Christian was a second league team that made the final eight.  The Thunder upset Sanford 36-34 in the regional finals but lost both games at Loveland; falling to Yuma 47-38 in the quarterfinals and Byers 44-35 in the first round of consolation.
Heritage Christian came close to being a third state qualifier but a tough loss to Mancos (64-55) left them one game short of the Great Eight.  They finished with 18 wins on the season.
We list the top three returnees for each club in several categories.  Numbers are based on stats posted to MaxPreps during the 2018-19 season.
