With basketball season starting to draw closer, Colorado Preps continues its look at the top players and teams from each conference across the state.  Today we look at all 13 clubs in the 2A/1A Mile High.
Last season was a very good year for Heritage Christian as the Eagles picked up the most wins (24), won the league title (12-0) and was the only conference team to earn a visit to the state tournament.  Once at Loveland, the Eagles were bounced by eventual champion Yuma in round one but then split their next two games to place sixth.  Their lone win came in the consolation semifinals against Meeker (32-31).
Dawson (20-4) and Highland (18-6) also combined for 38 wins a year ago and both just missed joining the Eagles at the 2A state tournament.  Dawson beat Sargent in the first round of regionals but then saw an end to their season by Heritage Christian (41-29) in the finals.  Highland had a very tough regional draw as they were forced to meet eventual champion Yuma in the finals and fell short 51-19.
We list the top three returnees for each club in several categories.  Numbers are based on stats posted to MaxPreps during the 2018-19 season.
