With basketball season now underway, Colorado Preps continues its look at the top players and teams from each conference across the state.  Today we look at all the teams inside the 2A Black Forest.
Three teams earned a share of the conference title last season as Peyton, Simla and Dolores Huerta all finished at 6-1.  Of those three, Simla had the most overall wins with 16 but the Cubs were followed closely by Dolores Huerta (15) and Peyton (14).
All three teams ended the season in the first round of regionals and two of them fell in overtime.  Peyton went two extra sessions before falling to John Mall 52-50; Simla came up short in overtime to Telluride 57-52 while Dolores Huerta was taken out by Vail Christian 72-57.
