District tournaments take place next week as Class 2A Boys’ basketball teams look for advancement into regionals. Official pairings won’t be released until the regular season winds down this Saturday but we took a shot at predicting the bracket in all eight tournaments.
These are projections only and based on league standings and RPI numbers from February 11th. In a few cases, we needed to predict winners of some important games set for this week. We’ll post official pairings of all brackets when released and of course track results through the playoffs.

2A District 8 is in an interesting situation.
There is a 3 way tie for 1st place between Peyton, Simla, and Dolores Huerta.
The tie breaker to determining the #1 Seed will be the RPI. As of this morning (2-13-19) Simla was 0.001 points of Peyton. The 2 and 3 seeds will be determined with the Head to Head. Example Dolores Huerta beat Peyton.
If the current RIP hold through Sunday it will go:
#1 Simla
#2 Dolores Huerta
#3 Peyton
Yep – they will change daily with RPI – when we put the pairings together on Monday – Peyton had the highest RPI. That’s why they were placed #1 in our projected pairings.
