The Class 2A rankings lay out nicely except for the three teams from the Lower Platte who have spent the past couple of weeks exchanging wins against one another.

#7 Soroco (16-2)
#8 Simla (15-2)
#9 Lyons (16-2)

NOTES:  Paonia and Del Norte remain our choices as the top two teams in the division but after that, the next three spots are very difficult to figure out.  Wray, Haxtun, and Yuma have taken turns beating one another with the latest round going to Haxtun as the Bulldogs took out the Indians on Saturday.  Wray has beaten Haxtun but also lost to Yuma which makes ranking these teams in any sensible order almost impossible.  None of the three has clinched the Lower Platte title yet as they’re tied with Holyoke entering the final week.  The Dragons were also in the rankings last week but were dropped this week due to a loss to 1A power Fleming.  Replacing them is Limon who finally joins the poll with their sparking 15-2 record and Union Pacific championship.    There are at least three important games inside the Lower Platte this week as the conference tries to sort out the four-way tie in first.  Holyoke meets Yuma on Tuesday and then visits Wray on Friday.  Yuma also has a difficult trip to Akron on Thursday.  Other games that will impact league championships include the Thursday battle between Lyons & Heritage Christian in the Mile High and the Friday clash between Simla & Ellicott in the Black Forest.
