With basketball season now underway, Colorado Preps continues its look at the top players and teams from each conference across the state.  Today we look at all the teams inside the 2A Santa Fe.
While six teams posted at least 10 wins last season, both Fowler and Holly had the most impressive seasons.  Both teams advanced to the state semifinals where they each came up short.  Fowler lost to eventual state champion 56-47 while Holly dropped a 44-36 decision to Highland.  In the third place, Fowler won the battle of league rivals 54-45 to land the third-place trophy.  Fowler finished the season at 22-5 and Holly 25-2.
Rocky Ford (14-9) and John Mall (15-9) each had solid campaigns as well.  John Mall made the regional finals where the season came to a close with a loss to Yuma.  The Panthers had picked up a wild two overtime win over Peyton the night before.  Rocky Ford was bounced by Wray 81-62 in the first round of the regional tournament.
We list the top three returnees for each club in several categories.  Numbers are based on stats posted to MaxPreps during the 2018-19 season.
