With basketball season now underway, Colorado Preps continues its look at the top players and teams from each conference across the state.  Today we look at all the teams inside the 2A Santa Fe.
The 2018-19 season was nearly a perfect ending for a Swink program dominated by seniors who had started all four years.  The Lions won 24 games and advanced all the way to the state championship game before falling to Yuma 41-25.  The Lions reached the championship game by upsetting Wray 41-31 in the quarterfinals and then downing Sanford 29-27.  The run finished off a tremendous four year stretch where the Lions collected 86 wins.
Rye (21-3) also put together a solid campaign that ended with a loss to Swink (42-34) in the regional tournament.  The Thunderbolts were 0-3 against the Lions last year and 21-0 against the rest of the state.
We list the top three returnees for each club in several categories.  Numbers are based on stats posted to MaxPreps during the 2018-19 season.
