COLORADO PREPS TO ADD WEEKLY BASKETBALL PROGRAM

Since our inception in 2003, the Colorado Preps Network has offered a Football Scoreboard show that has grown to nearly 30 radio affiliates across the state.  And starting this week, that coverage will be expanded to basketball as we will offer a weekly recap on the sport each Friday night from 8-10:00pm.  Radio stations that have agreed to carry our program are listed below and we expect that number to grow later this week.
The Basketball Scoreboard Show concept is a bit different than football.  With football, roughly 90 percent of the games are played on Friday so we can recap all those games with scores and interviews.  Basketball as you know, is played six days a week across Colorado so our program will serve as a weekly recap.  We will offer some scores for Friday night but also look back to the top results from earlier in the week.  The Basketball Scoreboard Show will also be dominated with interviews as we will visit with many coaches in all classifications.  That audio will also be made available on our website each week.
In addition to regular season coverage each Friday from 8-10:00pm, Colorado Preps will add special playoff editions during district and regional tournament weeks.  The schedule there will be based on tournament schedules but more than likely we will offer at least three one-hour programs during the district tournament week and then both Friday and Saturday of the following week for in-depth coverage of regional tournaments.
Colorado Preps is also in negotiations to add a wrestling segment for our weekly program as well.
