This week represents the final week of the football regular season for six of the seven classifications. Class 3A will finish up next week ahead of the release of its 16-team postseason bracket.

With one week to go there are a lot of issues unsettled when it comes to league championships. All league crowns have been claimed in 6-man and 8-man, but every other class has outstanding issues that will need to get resolved through the three days of games this week.

Below is the league championship scenario for every classification heading into Week 10.

Class 5A

  • Jeffco: Columbine clinches title with win over Chatfield. The Chargers are the champion with a win if Arvada West also upsets Ralston Valley. Wins by Ralston Valley and Chatfield create a three-way tie with Columbine.
  • Front Range South: Legacy has clinched.
  • Front Range North: Winner between Fairview and Rocky Mountain is champion.
  • Centennial: Cherry Creek has clinched.
  • South Metro: The Mountain Vista-Valor Christian winner is the champion
  • Southern: Pine Creek is champion if it beats Chaparral as the Eagles have the tiebreaker in head-to-head over Regis Jesuit.
  • Metro North: Denver East has clinched.

Current 5A playoff teams: Legacy, Cherry Creek, Denver East.

Class 4A

  • Northern 1: Windsor clinches the title by beating Grand Junction Central. A Central win leaves the two tied with Loveland for the championship. Loveland has completed its league schedule.
  • Northern 2: Erie has clinched.
  • Pikes Peak: Palmer Ridge is the champion by beating Vista Ridge. Should Vista Ridge gain the upset, then the two will share the crown with Rampart provided the Rams also get by Air Academy. Wins by Vista Ridge and Air Academy hand the title to Vista Ridge.
  • Southern: Montrose is the champion with a win over Pueblo West. A Pueblo West win leaves the two tied with Mesa Ridge if the Grizzlies get by Falcon. Pueblo West is the champ with a win if Falcon also knocks off Mesa Ridge.
  • Southeast Metro: Ponderosa has clinched.
  • Mountain West: Dakota Ridge has clinched.
  • Metro 2: Broomfield clinches the title by beating Heritage. A Heritage win sets up a three-way tie between the two and Fruita Monument since Fruita has finished up its regular season. Fruita earns a forfeit over Adams City in Week 10.
  • I-25: Centaurus has clinched.

Current 4A playoff teams: Erie, Ponderosa, Dakota Ridge, Centaurus

Class 3A

  • Southern: Pueblo Central is alone in first and can only clinch with a win over Harrison if Pueblo South loses to Pueblo Centennial. Central and South play in Week 11.
  • Pikes Peak: Discovery Canyon and Pueblo East are both unbeaten in conference and they play here in Week 10. Discovery Canyon can clinch with a win but East cannot since they have a game with third-place Pueblo County in Week 11.
  • Western Slope: Durango and Palisade remain unbeaten in league play and they collide this Friday. Durango can clinch with a win but Palisade can only wrap it up with a win if Glenwood Springs also loses to Eagle Valley. Palisade and Glenwood play in Week 11.
  • Mountain Metro: Green Mountain has a one game edge on both Conifer and Evergreen. They’ve already beaten both so the top ranked Rams need just one win in their final two games to clinch. They go to Littleton this week and then finish up with Skyview at home.
  • Metro Northeast: Holy Family leads Fort Morgan and Lutheran by one game with wins over both. The Tigers can then clinch with one win in the final two weeks. They are favored against both Lincoln this week and Kennedy in Week 11.
  • North Central: Riverdale Ridge and Mead are both 3-0 inside the conference and neither can clinch this week since they collide in the final week of the regular season (Nov. 3).
  • Northern: Thompson Valley and Resurrection Christian are unbeaten in league and lead Roosevelt by one game. Neither leader can clinch this week since they meet on Nov. 3. Thompson Valley also plays Roosevelt this week so several possible scenarios remain.

Class 2A

  • Patriot Central: Wellington has clinched.
  • Patriot East: University is champion with win over Sterling. A Tigers upset leaves the two tied with Brush in first provided the Beetdiggers also beat Timnath. Sterling is the champion with a win if Timnath gets by Brush.
  • Front Range Mountain: Berthoud has clinched.
  • Colorado: Kent Denver has clinched.
  • Intermountain: Delta is the champion by beating Montezuma-Cortez. If Cortez springs then upset, then the two are tied with Pagosa Springs if the Pirates also beat Bayfield. Cortez can only win the championship with a win if Bayfield also beats Pagosa Springs.
  • Western Slope: Rifle has clinched.
  • Southwest: La Junta is the champion by beating Florence. A Florence win gives them the title if Woodland Park also beats Alamosa. If Alamosa and Florence both win, then the two share the top spot with La Junta.

Current 2A playoff teams: Wellington, Berthoud, Kent Denver, Rifle

Class 1A

      • Western Slope: If Buena Vista beats Cedaredge, then the Demons, Meeker and Gunnison end up sharing the league title. If Cedaredge wins, then Meeker is the champion based on their head-to-head win over Gunnison. Both Meeker and Gunnison have completed their league schedule.
      • South Central: The winner between Centauri & Monte Vista is champion.
      • Tri-Peaks: Banning Lewis has clinched.
      • North Central: Limon has clinched.
      • Frontier: The winner between Strasburg & Platte Canyon is the champion.
      • Longs Peak: Highland is unbeaten in conference play and is the champion by beating Manual in Week 10. If Manual gets the win and Estes Park beats Flatirons Academy then the Thunderbolts claim the crown. Wins by Manual and Flatirons Academy create a three-way tie with Highland for the top spot.

    Current 1A playoff teams: Banning Lewis, Limon

    8-man

    • Mountain: Mancos has clinched.
    • Northwest: West Grand has clinched.
    • Black Forest: Simla has clinched.
    • Plains: Haxtun has clinched.
    • Central: Lyons has clinched.
    • Six-County: Fowler has clinched.
    • Arkansas Valley: McClave has clinched.

    Current 8-man playoff teams: Mancos, West Grand, Simla, Haxtun, Lyons, Fowler, McClave

    6-man

    • Northern: Briggsdale has clinched.
    • East Central: Stratton has clinched.
    • Southern: Hanover has clinched.
    • Southeast: Granada has clinched.
    • Southwest: Branson/Kim has clinched.

    Current 6-man playoff teams: Briggsdale, Stratton, Hanover, Granada, Branson/Kim
