RPI standings for Class 3A, 4A and 5A have been updated this morning and teams continue to shuffle up and down.  Teams in Classes 3A and 4A still have one more week of regular season play but the 5A schedule concludes today with the playoff bracket announced on Sunday.
League champions are listed in bold with standings taken on Saturday morning at 9:15am.
Some notes on the Class 5A bracket as that field is again 24 teams.  The top eight seeds will again get first round byes with seeds 9-24 playing first round games this coming week.  One factor to keep in mind involves the Metro 10.  The CHSAA bulletin allows for one team to earn an automatic berth and Smoky Hill has that as league champion.  Only one more club can earn a berth and that’s up the seeding committee on whether to leave a second team in.  Prairie View is the best bet as they placed second behind Smoky Hill.
Teams other than Smoky Hill in the Metro 10 are listed in italics.  Only ONE of those teams can get into the field and possibly none of them will be invited.  That means a few teams outside the RPI top 24 will get playoff invites.
Conference champions earn automatic berths in 3A and 4A with the rest of the field determined by RPI.
