Two very important league battles between top 10 teams top the Thursday night schedule.  Both games are in the Northern part of the state as #7 Platte Valley meets #9 Eaton in Class 3A and #3 Berthoud heads to #7 Holy Family in Class 4A.
In each case, both teams are unbeaten in their respective conference.  Berthoud (5-0) and Holy Family (4-0) are tied with Windsor near the end of the first half of the Tri Valley league schedule.  Windsor keeps pace with the winner but they also have a tough test against #8 Erie this evening.
Eaton and Platte Valley both won conference openers earlier in the week.  The Broncos edged Resurrection Christian 38-33 and Eaton dropped Estes Park 57-28.
2A Santa Fe leaders Rocky Ford (3-0) and Rye (4-0) are both on the court tonight as well and both are favored.  Both clubs are 9-0 on the season and easily could be 18-0 when they collide in the final week of the regular season.
Probably the best non-league game on the slate is in Class 2A between #4 Del Norte and Ignacio.  The Tigers in the Southern Peaks and Ignacio in the San Juan are both expected to battle for their conference championship.  And both can use a nice boost to their RPI numbers with a win.
