One month from today, Ball Arena will be rocking with an atmosphere typically reserved for the postseason runs of the Denver Nuggets or Colorado Avalanche.

On Feb. 21, champions will be crowned at the 2026 state wrestling tournament. It’s either a short window until then, or a long one – depending on one’s point of view.

Coming off the Top of the Rockies boys tournament last weekend at Centaurus High School, it’s bound to be an intense month. In Class 5A, Grandview’s boys team made a big statement by claiming the team title at the TOTR, finishing with 207 points. Pomona, the seven-time defending 5A champion, was second with 200 points.

Grandview claimed three individual titles and placed six in the top four. Pomona, which didn’t have the full complement of its lineup, had three champions and placed nine in the top six.

Three full weeks remain in the regular season before regional competition takes place Feb. 13-14.
